The CDRP

Crime and Disorder Act (1998)

The Crime and Disorder Act requires that the responsible authorities, The Local Authority, The Police, Probation Service and Health Authority represented in the community safety partnership must:

  • Conduct and publish an audit of local crime and disorder problems, taking into account the views of those who live and work in the areas.
  • Determine priorities for action.
  • Devise and publish a strategy which tackles these problems, including objectives and targets
